Biosensing
Some of what a place does to us happens before we put it into words. Eye-tracking records where attention settles as people move through the demonstrators, and brain activity and skin response, recorded with EEG and EDA on site and in the laboratory, register how the body reacts to landscape. Set against what people say, and against the same scenes as the models read them, these responses show which qualities of Baukultur are felt as well as seen, and how that feeling underpins sense of place.
