Places

The project works in three demonstrators, real places chosen for the pressures they share and the characters that set them apart: an arterial corridor through a bilingual city, a farmed plateau near Bern, and a lakeside slope densifying above Lago Maggiore. Each is walked, surveyed, designed for and returned to, so that what Baukultur means for sense of place can be studied in the particular before it is compared across the country.
